Sterling Development oversaw the design and construction of Citi Field, the new world-class home of the New York Mets, along with its architect and construction partners HOK and Hunt - Bovis. The $800+ million project is the largest privately financed construction project in the history of Queens.

The Mets completed construction for Opening Day 2009 and ushered in a new era of unprecedented sight lines, amenities, and comfort for Mets fans, sports fans, and visitors to the New York metropolitan area.

Citi Field connects the Mets' National League heritage to the future and. to the City, through a number of unique design elements. The 1.26 million square foot facility has a capacity of 41,800. A contoured seating configuration brings spectators closer to the field on all levels to provide optimal line of sight for a more intimate and entertaining experience throughout the park.
