Jeffrey S. Wilpon serves as Executive Vice President of Sterling Equities. He has a 25-year history of actively supervising major new building construction. His most recent relevant projects include the development and construction of 383 Madison Avenue in New York City as well as Citi Field in Flushing Queens. He also has extensive experience in overseeing major school, entertainment and tenant installations as well as the transactional aspects of such projects. Mr. Wilpon is the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the New York Mets, where he oversees the team's day-to-day baseball and business operation and the Mets Foundation. Mr. Wilpon also serves as the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Brooklyn Cyclones, where he worked in partnership with the City of New York to oversee the planning, design and construction of MCU Park, the Cyclones' ballpark. Additionally, he is the Chief Operating Officer of the Mets Development Company and Queens Ballpark Company, L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of the New York Mets, responsible for the planning, design, development and construction of Citi Field. He also serves on the boards of the MLB Network and Major League Baseball Enterprises as well as on the Boards of other non-profit organizations and institutions. In 1983 he was drafted as a catcher by the Montreal Expos.

Photo Richard T. Browne, Partner
Richard T. Browne has enjoyed equally successful careers as a builder, commercial building owner and project consultant. For the past five years, Mr. Browne has served as Owners Representative to Queens Ballpark Company, LLC, which spearheaded the development and construction of Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets. This $800 million ballpark, which was completed on time and under budget, is regarded as one of the premier sports and entertainment facilities in the country. As Owner and President of Construction Solutions since 1986, Mr. Browne has been involved in the coordination and supervision of over $1 billion worth of projects. Notable clients include Schonfeld Group Holdings, Great American Insurance, RBC Dain Rauscher, Cargill Investor Services, Thomson Financial and many others. In addition, Mr. Browne was the managing general partner of 40 Rector Street, a 500,000 square foot commercial office building located in Downtown Manhattan. Major tenants in the building included The City of New York, Xerox, AXA Equitable Life, NYU Medical Center and The American Stock Exchange. Mr. Browne was responsible for all aspects of leasing, management, construction and operation of the property. The building, which had been owned by Mr. Browne and his family since 1969, was sold to an outside investor in January of 2001. He has been a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association, The Long Island Board of Realtors and The Downtown Owners Committee. He is currently a member of the Real Estate Board of New York as well as the Board's Downtown Rental Conditions Committee.

Photo Eric S. Saretsky, Vice President
Eric S. Saretsky has acquired in-depth expertise in all areas of construction and development during his 25-year career in the industry. Since joining Sterling in 1998, Mr. Saretsky has managed a wide range of residential, health care and commercial construction projects in the New York area for the firm. He has also provided oversight for many large construction projects around the country for Sterling’s affiliated firm, Sterling American Property, Inc. With respect to major New York sports venues, Mr. Saretsky served as Project Co-Executive on the construction of MCU Park (the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones) as well as the development and construction of Citi Field, the New York Mets’ new ballpark. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Miami and an advanced degree in construction management from the New York University School of Real Estate.

Photo Andrew L. Cairns, Vice President
Andrew L. Cairns joined Sterling Equities in 1999 and is a 25-year veteran in development and construction. He has been actively involved in managing real estate design and construction activities for Sterling Equities as well as its affiliates. He possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of commercial, residential and historical preservation and restoration projects. Mr. Cairns also served as Project Co-Executive on the construction of MCU Park (the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones) as well as the development and construction of Citi Field, the New York Mets’ new ballpark. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development from New York University.

Photo Karl Smolarz, Vice President
Karl Smolarz joined Sterling in 2002 as Vice President of Facilities. His responsibilities include oversight and coordination on a variety of capital improvement projects. His is currently spearheading a $30 million renovation of the Devonshire, a 130 unit high rise condominium project in Manhattan. Similarly, Mr. Smolarz is overseeing the $16 million renovation of the 91 unit condominium project at 845 West End Avenue in Manhattan. He also recently completed a ground up development of the 37 acre New York Mets training facility (including on-site residences and administrative offices throughout the seven building campus) in the Dominican Republic. Possessing extensive operational background, Mr. Smolarz has managed several major commercial properties and sports facilities in New York, Connecticut, Florida and elsewhere. His most recent commercial project involved the final construction and opening of Bear Stearn's 1.4 million square foot corporate headquarters on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. He holds a B.A. degree from State University of New York at Albany.
